Female applicants face lower acceptance rates

On average, about 4% less women are accepted to a college, even though women usually are 60% of the applicants. Bev Taylor, founder of Ivy Coach, said women are just expected to be more on top of their game in most cases. This leads to the domino effect. Schools need just the right amount of AP and regular classes. As women generally apply for the tougher classes, which could lead to more drop outs or some classes too large.
