Alleged members of an identity theft ring used an electronic encoder and other tools inside a Manhattan hotel room to steal money from nearly 400 people who used credit and debit cards at a Mesquite gas station.The four suspects are accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the victims .A Manhattan hotel room was transformed into a veritable identity theft factory by the defendants charged in this case, Police recovered about $340,000 and 400 forged credit cards from the defendants and from inside their hotel room.New York officials are still investigating how the suspects obtained the stolen account information.
