Classwork 3/4/13

What will you do if you are a victim of credit  discrimination?

First of all I would watch for signs that would lead into discrimination. Then if things got bad I would report it to the company and the police. If it gets very bad I would consider bankruptcy, but only as a very last option.

What are your new rights under consumer credit laws?

It is illegal to refuse my credit if I qualify for it, and to discourage me for applying. It is illegal to offer me credit on terms that are less favorable, like a high interest rate, than terms offered to someone with similar qualifications. It is also illegal to close my account.

Would I ask a parent or a friend to co-sign a load with me?
I would say it depends on what type of loan it is and how much it was worth.
