Michigan Has One Of The Highest Auto Insurance Rates In The Nation

Do you cringe when it comes time to pay your auto insurance premium? Turns out Michigan has the nation's second highest average car insurance rates with an average annual premium of $2,520, according to an Insure.com study released this week. Louisiana is the highest state at $2,699 per car. The data shows that Illinois drivers pay 47 percent less, Wisconsin drivers pay 51 percent less, Indiana 53 percent and Ohio drivers fork out 56 percent ($1,414) less per car than drivers in Michigan.
