As the gas prices continue to increase, more and more people are considering more fuel- efficient cars. Studies show that every $1 raise in the gas prices there is a 0.7 percent increase in small cars and hybrid increase just 0.2 percent. Smaller cars are now considered better fuel- efficient cars than hybrids.
