Schools embrace financial literacy program

Shawnee Heights High School in Topeka has decided to make personal finance a required online class, as the school feels that personal finance is just as important as health and fitness. A local bank is sponsoring the program's integration and so it isn't even costing the school much money to implement it and students seem to really enjoy it. The students say that the online program is better and more interactive than listening to a teacher talk at them and the school hopes that this will help teenagers be more aware and knowledgable about the world of finance. The governer thinks it should be integrated statewide for the state's future.
