On a Shwab's survey, 42 percent of respondents recall hearing the phrase, "Money doesn't grow on trees," as from Mom as a child. The other phrases resulted in, "A penny saved is a penny earned" (23%), "Give generously to those in need" (15%), "Wait for it to go on sale" (9%) and "Spend like there's no tomorrow" (3%). Now that Mother's day is around the corner, its a good time to mention the great advice.
