A 16-year-old Holly Hill male will be tried as an adult for the armed robbery of Security Finance on Old State Road on Jan. 2. According to the incident and supplemental reports, the male suspect entered Security Finance and told all three of the employees to get on the floor. Witnesses said the suspect’s “hands were in his pockets as if he had a weapon,” the report said. The suspect got away with cash and checks totaling $2,398. The photo from surveillance video provided by J&D Fashions, located next to Security Finance, showed the suspect in J&D Fashions a few minutes prior to the robbery at Security Finance. Lumpkins, if found guilty, could face a maximum of 30 years in prison on one count of armed robbery, he said.
