Canadian man sentenced to 18 years in prison in 1 of largest credit card schemes in US history
Adekunle Adetiloye, a Canadian man, scammed a credit card company out of nearly $5million using two different aliases. This is said to be the larget fraudulent case the country has ever seen and is one of the most complex to ever be investigated resulting in new specialized research teams to sort out the problem. When he went to court they had nearly 12,000 pages of documents against him, yet his atourney, due to his foreign roots, asked for a sentence less than 16 years. We have yet to see how all of this will play out. The government wants this to serve as a warning to anyone attempting to steal money like this. Even the largest and most complex bank robber thus far in history was caught and will get his due justice.
