Connecticut Light and Power and Yankee Gas are asking customers to be wary of credit card scams that have involved customers of utilities in other parts of the country. The scam involves prepaid "Green Dot" VISA credit cards. Callers are pretending to be part of utility companies and saying that they need to buy a Green Dot VISA to renew their services.
