Frugality as a Challenge

One lady decided to look at frugality as a challenge and found that that helped her immensely. She tries to "beat last month's scores" and lower her utility bill a little bit more than she had last month, use a product longer than she had before, etc. She thought living frugally was really difficult until she used this mindset and now she takes joy and pride in it. She also competes against other people that she finds on finance and frugality message boards.
