The Osborne House in Winnipeg has always housed homeless women and their children, but just recently they have noticed an increase in abused women coming to the shelter. Barbara Judt, the chief executive officer of the Osborne house, says that 10% of the people seen are teen girls.

The Osborne House is currently underfunded at $450,000 but they still continue to house the need. The government has agreed to help with funding for shelters such as the Osborne House.
