There are an estimated 800,000 children and teens with autism in the United States. As they age out of the school system, they lose essential funding and therapies that schools provide. They will have to find other ways to get financial support, services, and resources that they need to live a long, healthy life. Budget cuts along schools and other resource centers are causing autistic teens and their parents to be even more concerned for their futures.
