Summer job picture brightens for teens

Teens looking for work will have a better time this year, but they have to be persistant to get it. The number of 16- to 19-year-olds working during the summer months had been at its slimmest level since 1949. Youth employment from May through June perked up by 1.08 million jobs. It's expected to grow again this year. Government-funded jobs at public camps, beaches, pools and parks seem to be coming back. Older, more experienced workers are finally moving on.
