More College Admission Secrets: Don't Fall For These Popular Myths

1. Myth- Connections get you in
They really don't help at all.
2. Myth- Sending cookies makes them more likely to accept you.
Riiight.
3. Myth- The more activities you do, the more likely you are to get in.
Colleges want to see that you are passionate about a few things and have devoted a lot to certain things, not that you're just busy.
4. Myth- If you don't have high enough test scores, colleges won't consider you.
Not necessarily- good grades throughout your four years of high school can show that you are an excellent student, so one shot testing isn't the only thing looked at.
5. Myth- It's impossible to get into a good college nowadays.
There are thousands of good colleges but this myth is just because most people only know a few names. Names aren't the ultimate requirement and you should go to a school that fits you best.
