A First Draft of 2012 Admissions Decisions at Dozens of Universities
Colleges are getting more and more selective and this article gives rough numbers of applicants, accepted students, wait listed students, denials, etc. A lot of Ivy League schools are now accepting less than 8% of applicants, Harvard only accepted 5.9%. The sheer numbers are incredible. Out of tens of thousands of kids, schools are only accepting a few hundred to a few thousand. University of Southern California had over 46,000 applicants and only accepted about 8,000 of them. Julliard only accepted 191 kids.
