Cuban artists find financial support online

Yagruma is a website whose aim is to help artists fund their projects in Cuba. Artists upload a sample of their work onto Yagruma along with their biography, a description of what they would like to create in the future, and a request for contributions. The projects are crowd funded. To cover operating costs, Yagruma keeps 5% of funds. The site has financed 5 projects so far and have another 10  still being fundraised. The site hopes to foster creativity and support the artists in Cuba.
